ACTIVITIES
Norway Model United Nations Society offers various activities for its Members and other interested students.
Our most important activity is participation at international Model United Nations conferences. Delegations to such conferences are formed by Members of NorMUN. We also take part in hosting conferences with the Norwegian UN Association, and we host Mock Conferences for our members.
NorMUN has two Society Meetings each month. A variety of topics in international politics, current affairs and Norwegian foreign policy are discussed at the meetings. Speakers from various organizations, institutions and ministries are invited to contribute to the meetings. These meetings are open for everybody, while our other activities are for Members only.
Ahead of international Model UN conferences, we offer various activities to prepare the participants. We arrange meetings with professionals, we give lectures in negotiation techniques, we teach our Members how to write resolutions and how to act in international negotiations, etc. The purpose of these activities are to prepare our Members as extensive as possible. Our experience is that our Members are well prepared and qualified for the participation.
